The West Gate Bridge Strengthening project is progressing and will continue through the best part of 2010.
As part of these strengthening works safe internal access is needed for workers working inside and underneath the bridge, lanes on the inside will need to be closed for this reason.
We have closed the lanes in the opposite direction to peak to minimise disruption to motorists.
21 June 2010, a full clousre of the Williamstown Road outbound entry ramp will be in place from 9pm - 6am Monday evening.
From 8 June to 19 June 2010 a contra flow traffic arrangement will be in place on Hyde Street from 6am - 6pm Monday to friday, and 6am - 4pm Saturdays.
Weekdays from Thursday, 1 July to Saturday 31 July - 5am to 2.30pm
Motorists should be aware of the changed traffic conditions on Williamstown Road on-ramp commencing 17 March 2010 until the end of the WGBS Project.
Weekdays from Thursday, 1 July to Satruday 31 July - 10am to 7pm
The inbound carriageway of the West Gate Bridge will be partially closed on Thursday 29 July (Nightworks) for the installation of two large gantries.
Hyde Street will be temporarily closed between 6am - 1pm on Saturday 31 July 2010
